So, I had to lay my hands on this one as soon as possible and I did! Well, it’s been three months now since I’ve been using this device and I have to say I am definitely impressed with its results on my hair!

Reviewing products is one of my favourite things to do and I always review the products I try based on certain parameters to give the readers a clearer picture. In addition to this, I give a feature-wise rating based on these parameters as well.

Let me be straight up with you guys, if you are looking for a salon-finish straightened hair look, then do not think twice, just go in for this product and it comes with a one year warranty too!
To begin with the product design, well, it has 1.5 inch wide ceramic hot plates that distribute the heat evenly throughout the plates, which work very well on coarse and wavy hair and it actually makes the hair look shiny once it has been straightened. This is because the plates contain minerals infused to reduce hair damage.
It is light in weight and is very easy to use and maneuver as it also has a long 2.7 meter cord which makes it super convenient to use even if the power source is far away. The product is sturdy and made from superior quality as well!
Also, what I really liked is that this straightener supports dual voltage of 100-240V, so it is travel friendly.
In terms of the product’s safety features, this device has an automatic shut-off feature that shuts off the straightening iron after 30 minutes of inactivity, along with variable temperature control from 100-200°C (low to high) that is well suited for any hair type.
What I really liked is that this device heats up to its maximum temperature within no time and that’s just 20 seconds for the straightener to get hot, which is super convenient especially when you are in a hurry to straighten your hair.
Also, once the hair straightener is turned on, a green colored light starts to flash and illuminates at 150°C, indicating the device is hot enough and ready to use. This is a good feature.
It also comes with a protective heat guard for the hot plates and can be placed in the heat resistant style case for utmost safety. This ensures that the product and also the area where the product is placed while heated, remains damage-free.
This product also comes with its own heat protectant spray which is supposed to be sprayed on the hair before starting off with the straightening process. This helps keep the hair away from damage.
Finally, I can definitely say that this product worked well to straighten my hair. I did my hair in small sections going over each section twice and that was it, it set my hair straight for long hours without any frizz or flyaways.

How to use the Cloud Nine The Wide Iron Straightener?
Well, I use this device just the same way I’d use any other hair straightener and here’s how I use it.
Step 1: Brush your hair to detangle
It is very essential to brush your hair well in order to detangle it and get rid of all knots. This should be your very first step before you begin with the straightening process.
Step 2: Spritz the heat protectant spray
Next, make sure to randomly spray the heat protectant spray all of your hair.
Do not skip this step because whenever you use any heat styling tool on your hair (even if it is just a blow dryer) using a heat protectant spray is very important in order to protect the hair from heat damage and prevent the hair from drying and becoming fizzy.
Step 3: Section your hair into parts
The best way to straighten your hair perfectly is by doing it in sections. Depending on your hair volume and type, you can divide your hair into multiple sections.
I have coarse hair, but it is not voluminous and therefore, I divide my hair into 6 sections and pin them up using clips to hold the hair in place.
Step 4: Use the wide iron to straighten your hair
Lastly, I then begin the straightening process one section at a time. So I release (unclip) one section at a time and starting at the roots downwards.
I clamp the straightener down on my hair and pressing downwards, I glide the straightener slowly along my hair (do not hold the straightener in one area of your hair for a long time, but instead go over that area after a while if need be).
It is also important to be very precautious while you are straightening your hair near your roots as the heat can cause your skin to get burnt.
Most often since my hair is coarse, I go over the same section twice to ensure that the hair is properly straightened and remains in that position for a good amount of time.
Once all my hair has been straightened, I then spritz some setting spray randomly all over my hair, so that the straightened hair remains in place.
Is the Cloud Nine The Wide Iron Straightener worth the price?
I bought this hair straightener off of Amazon and it costed me $163.26, which I have to admit was pretty steep as compared to other such hair straighteners.
Well, after using the product and getting super amazing results, I will definitely vouch for this product and say that it is totally worth every penny spent!
