Is Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray Discontinued
Unfortunately, yes, the Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray has been discontinued in 2022. Initially the product was removed from the official website of Joico, but was still up for sale on e-commerce sites like Amazon, eBay, Walmart etc., and also in local stores as well. This was probably only until the already manufactured stocks ran out. But as of 2023, the Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray is no longer available for sale anywhere anymore.
According to research, Joico mentioned that the reason for the product being discontinued by them was because the product formulations were no longer compliant with the product regulations.
Nevertheless, Joico and some other brands do have finishing sprays which can be used as alternatives to the Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray.

The Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray: Pros and Cons
The Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray was a hairspray that provided a very strong hold on the hair, but didn’t make the hair look or feel stiff once applied.
What the best part about using this product was that it was known to be resistant to humidity and could also protect the hair from heat styling tools.
This product has a lot of pros and of course, has a fair share of cons as well. So, let’s take a look into some of them.
Pros:
· Can give the hair a very strong hold, but doesn’t make the hair feel stiff.
· It is resistant to humidity.
· The product is free from fragrance.
· It also works as a protectant from heat styling tools.
Cons:
· The product used to be more expensive than other such hair finishing sprays.
· There were some reviews that the hairspray did dry their hair out a little (and this is because the product contained alcohol).
· Regular usage of this product caused product buildup.
· Once applied, it was quite difficult to remove and this was because its formula was water-resistant.
My Review of The Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray
I honestly was quite disappointed to find out that this hair spray had been discontinued. I was lucky enough to be able to find a couple of bottles for sale off the shelf in my local store, but that was just until stocks ran out.
The tricky part was finding another product that could suit my hair and I really have to say that I haven’t found that product yet unfortunately.
As for the Joico Ice Mist Finishing Spray, I had used the product for several years and really loved how perfectly it worked on my hair.
My hair is slightly wavy and on the fine side. So, what I liked is that this spray would give my hair sufficient hold, without weighing my hair down. This is because this product had a lightweight formula.
Also, it didn’t make my hair feel very stiff, which is something I haven’t experienced with any other such product yet.
I live in a place which is highly humid and this product worked wonders for my hair as it is completely humidity-resistant.
What I didn’t like was that this product contained alcohol which kind of dried my hair out to a certain extent. But the fragrance of this hair spray was very pleasant and it suited even a scent-sensitive person like me perfectly fine.
Apart from it drying out my hair, another thing I didn’t like was that this product was quite hard to wash off and this was because its formulation was made water-resistant. So, getting it off was quite a hassle as it wouldn’t wash off on the first attempt even with shampoo.
But overall, I will definitely say that this product was one of the best finishing sprays out there when it was available in the market and I really hope it comes back sooner.
Pros:
· It was a lightweight product that did not make the hair feel weighed down.
· This product would provide the hair with a sufficient hold but wouldn’t make the hair feel stiff.
· One of its main features was that it was completely humidity-resistant.
· It also worked as a heat protectant from heat styling tools.
· The smell of this product was very light and could suit even scent-sensitive people.
· It is a hair spray that can work on almost all hair types.
Cons:
· It is a non-aerosol hair spray and could make application a little difficult as compared to using an aerosol hair spray.
· Compared to other such products, this hair spray was slightly more expensive as comparatively.
· Even though this product gave the hair a relatively strong hold, there were other such products in the market that delivered a better and stronger hold than this one.
· Even though it works on most hair types, it may not be as effective on all hair types.
